Support Worker

Wessex College is a dynamic, growing, independent company that provides full time care and education to vulnerable young people helping them to achieve their potential and look forward to a brighter future.

 

We are currently recruiting Support Workers to work within our residential homes in and around Wiltshire. Whether you are looking for full-time or part-time work, days or evenings, we may be able to offer you flexible working that fits in with your personal circumstances. Full-time work always involves shift patterns which include 24 hour shifts including sleep ins, but the shifts can be ideal for you to spend more time at home at certain times.

You may prefer to join our bank of sessional workers, who provide an essential service within the organisation stepping in to assist when employees are poorly, training or on annual leave or simply lending a helping hand, sometimes at very short notice. You are not obliged to accept shifts and so can be great to fit around other commitments.

 

Experience is not always necessary as full training will be provided, along with assistance to achieve a Level 3 qualification funded by the company. Annual income starts at £19,040 (inclusive of sleep in allowance) depending on experience. What is essential is that you are passionate about making a difference, positive, enthusiastic, flexible and share our values.

Shift Leaders

We are also currently recruiting Shift Leaders to work within our residential homes in and around Wiltshire. You will hold the lead responsibility for each shift worked and ensure that tasks and paperwork have been completed for each shift. You will be the identified person in charge in the absence of any other senior management member. You will have at least one year’s relevant experience and hold a Level 3 Diploma or equivalent in Health & Social Care (Caring for Children and Young People).

Annual income starts at £20,510 (inclusive of sleep in allowance) depending on experience.
